I was searching all over the Internet for a waterproof white board or something similar and found this. I gave it to a friend as a gift to write notes on while showering and it works fabulously. So if you come up with brilliant ideas while in the shower, this works to jot them down so you don't forget them. A Mister Clean Magic Eraser also works to get the pencil off the board- I make note of this because I had a hard time finding any information about how to clean the board after you write all over it.

So I got exactly what is pictured, a slate with a pencil. Which I am fine with, but what is described is:
"Scuba Dive Underwater Writing Magnetic Instant Erase Dive Slate. Tell your dive buddy what you are seeing by simply writing on the face of this easy to use underwater communication device. Much like the etch-a-sketch for children this will instantly erase for the next time you need to use it by simply pulling the lever to clear the screen. Magnetic tip pencil never needs sharpening. 6 inches by 5 inches with clip."
There is no lever to clear a screen, my pencil is a wooden pencil with graphite, which will need sharpening.
For the price its fine but the vendor needs to change the description to fit what is being sold.

For the price you cant beat it. It is as pictured, a slate with a pencil. Standard thickness, not some flimsy piece of plastic. Easy to erase with saliva, soap, scrub pad or an eraser.

I've been wanting to get one of these for ages. They are a little hard to search for. Works great - use a Magic Eraser cleaning pad to wipe it clean. Nice size for notes in the shower.

For those of you with fabulous ideas that come to you in the shower this is the perfect item to keep track of your imagination. Yes it's for those who scuba dive, but what about those of us who don't and who need something to write on in the water? This is for us too! Don't forget to keep a paper pad in your bathroom, so that you can take your ideas off the board, use the solution to clean it and take action. I have recommended buying this product to all of my clients that want to capture their imagination in water!
