3very bright BUT expensive AND--->only ONE hour burn time<---Jun 20, 2005
By Vegetarian Pacifist "challenge3XinthenameofJesus"
Buyer beware; there are 2 similarly-named Pelican M6 flashlights.

The one that says M6 LED does indeed have a 40-hour burn time BUT

the one that says M6 Lithium has but a ONE hour battery burn time

The difference in power consumption is due to the lamp being used

Yes, the M6 Lithium _is_ considerably brighter but it's life=1hr!

Additionally, the LED 'bulb' can withstand more abuse than Xenon,

although the LED is NOT as bright as a Xenon/Lithium "M6 Lithium"

The cost is approximately the same for either LED or LithiumXenon

(moral: don't LEND it out, lay it not down; use included HOLSTER)

INcorrect:

"40 Hours Battery Burn Time"

http://www.pelicanproducts.ca/Lights/2320_light.htm

http://www.pelican.com/small_lights/li_2320_m6_lithium.htm

both official sites specify ONE hour battery burn time.

BTW you're not gonna get this kind of brightness from Streamlight

PS: luckily, the CR123 Lithium batteries (two needed) are sold at

PHOTO stores worldwide. I mention this because they are not items

that are as easy to find (or as affordable) as alkaline AA or AAA

The decided advantage of a Lithium battery: SHELF LIFE = 10 years

Bottom line: you'll use a pair of ten-year batteries in ONE hour.

The SHELF life is 10 years (not actual usage). Still, considering
