5Nice towel, dries quickly, folds up into a small packageMay 13, 2009
By D. MCKICHAN
I have this and the large size. The large size is about the size o a normal bath towel and the extra large an oversized oned. Both work great. They are very thin and fold up to only take up maybe 20% of the space of an ordinary towel, if even that. They will dry you off as quickly as a normal towel, they just won't warm you. They dry out very quickly both hung dry and in the dryer.

Edit: 6 months later and these are holding up well. I have two that I personally use and they are getting washed after every two uses. They look the same as the day I received them. After switching the whole house to these, I have noticed a big difference in the dryer times and gas I am using. Would still recommend.

5The zero space option to get dryFeb 26, 2011
By R. Wallace "Scottymeboy"
This is not a travel towel. A travel towel is white, fluffy, and magically gets clean and folded if you leave it on the floor in the hotel bathroom. This, what looks like a piece of leftover fabric from the Jedi robe that your mom made for you last Halloween (you know who your are; move out already) is an anywhere you happen to be caught in a freek rainstorm, run for cover, pull it out of your pocket (yes, it will fit) and get dry towel (horrible sentence structure but great immagry).
I was told to buy this before I left for Afghanistan due to the nature of my duty here; constantly on the move doing construction. I had to be able to pack for a week in one backpack never knowing how long it would take to get back to base. I could settle for a hand towel which will fold up small and eventually get you dry or this piece of fabric. I trusted the other people's opinion on this and got two (olive drab, go military). I got the large (30" x 50"). Small enough to not be dragging on the floor when I hang it on a nail by the strategicly placed snap loop, and big enough to wrap around and not flash half my cheek to the other guys in the shower tent.
It folds (or rolls) up small; less than the size of a folded medium t-shirt. So it takes up virtually no room in the pack. And, yes, it will dry you off amaizingly well. You don't have to rub yourself dry, just pat it on you and the water is gone. My wife says that it even drys her long hair better that her regular towel. The only thing weird is, not a downside just something to get used to, the first time I used it it felt like I was rubbing myself with couch material. You get used to it pretty quick though. It doesn't bother me because, hey, I'm dry. The towel drys itself very quickly too. Just over an hour in humid Hawaii and in less than half that in dry Afghanistan. (warning, this is not a beach towel. It's light weight means it will blow away easily in the wind) It doesn't stink, even when you forget to take it off the nail for a few weeks to get it washed.
It earns a full five stars for rolling up nice and tight and whip-cracking really well. Nice big welts for those of you who find that feature in towels important.

2Dries fast, packs small, but ...May 16, 2009
By Mrs. Wiggins
This product definitely dries fast and it packs small; but as another reviewer wrote, it feels like a wet clingy shirt when using it. Although it would definitely work fine for camping purposes, I probably wouldn't buy this item again. The Aquis brand has a much better feel to it when it is wet.

4Great productJan 18, 2010

1. Yes, when wet, it does feel like a wet towel. The good this is, you will obviously see the dry parts of the towel and use that dry portion. Try that on a regular towel. I did it with my white regular towel and it can not happen.

2. Yes it does not give you the warm, hugging you feeling when you wrap it around yourself just like a regular towel would. But I accept this.

3. It does dry fast, no stinky smell, no commercial or "technical" smell.

I think it's great especially for travelers like me. At home, I still go with regular towels. Btw, I say get Large as minimum. I was indecisive to get the Medium. I'm happy I got the Large for it's similar size to a regular towel. I think anything smaller is too small. I think a Medium will be hard to wrap and keep around your waist.

5Excellent choiceMay 17, 2010
By M. Maier
I purchased 3 of these towels for a recent backpacking trip and they are excellent. The medium size is large enough to dry me off effectively but not large enough to wrap around me if I were walking to/from the bathroom. It folds smaller than a washcloth. The material feels like suede... which is nice when the towel is dry but is an odd experience when the towel is wet. It means you must use to towel to sort of 'dab' the water off you rather than rubbing, as you would with a normal towel.
