1WATCH OUT - NOT AS PICTUREDAug 27, 2009
By Customer Feedback
This is the second Pelican Micro-case we have ordered from Amazon that has not been as pictured. Each time we carefully selected a solid-colored case as they are fully lined--both top and bottom, and have a handy lanyard. But when the product was received from the third-party seller, in BOTH instances, we received the clear-topped case with a carabiner instead. We were in a hurry to get this item as a gift, so that's why we re-ordered immediately, rather than going through the return & exchange process. Frustrating!!

Amazon's description, "Pelican 1010 Micro-Case (Yellow)" is not sufficient, since it could apply to either the solid-top or clear-top case. Since the product photo is unreliable (they should fix this anyway), the description should at least clearly state whether this is the fully rubber-lined, solid-colored case, or the bottom-lined-only, clear-top case. True, among the technical details is the statement "Clear lids allow for easy identification of contents," but since it's well below the photo of the solid-top case, and it's a general statement in the plural form, it sounds more like an "oh, by-the-way" comment that the same item's available in a clear top, if you're interested. At least that's how I took it. Fer gosh sakes, the product image shows a solid top!

Leaving aside the "wrong image/inadequate description" issue, this is a great product from Pelican.

4great camera case for Fujifilm A330 and A340Feb 28, 2005
By Donald T. Childrey "Author of 'STAR TRAILS - Navajo'"
I bought one of these to serve as a travel case for my Fujifilm A340 digital camera. It's a perfect fit! It will also fit the A330 camera. There's just enough room for it to shift slightly, but the soft elastomer lining will absorb all but the most violent of shocks. If you lay the A340's webbing hand strap across the top of the camera, it takes up all of the slack and there is no shifting at all.

I didn't give it 5 stars only because I have yet to give it a submersion test. I have submerged my other, older Pelican cases with positive results, so I have no reason to believe this case will have a problem.

5Confusing picturesApr 07, 2009
By Douglas B. Mckay "KD7LRJ"
The case is great, but the pictures here are confusing. They show a case that is clear, and the description also states that it is clear. I needed a clear one, so I ordered it but was disappointed that it was solid red. I'll find another use for the case, but I still need a clear one!

5Extra protection for your cameraJan 28, 2008
By J. Bardi
If you are looking for extra protection in a hard case that's not too bulky, this is a good choice. It's a basic case with no extra compartments, but is virtually indestructible and waterproof.

5pelican 1010 caseOct 03, 2007
By Marcus Boyd III "The Green Hummer"
This is a well made little waterproof case. My Canon digital camera fits snugly inside, like it was made for it. I have not had a chance to test it's water reistance at any great depth but then I don't plan to dive with it. Liked it enough that I bought another. Plan to use it boating and at the beach.
